Whew. That was a lot of work on a less than a week deadline! But I am thrilled to have it done 😉
iKarma is a tool for people who depend on word-of-mouth marketing and referrals in their business, but while we were in Beta, we noticed many difficulties in getting the message across to people exactly WHAT iKarma was, and HOW it was invaluable tool. We needed it to be evidently clear that iKarma is a free service that professionals can use to manage their reputation/word-of-mouth.
I spent over 80 hours in design and revisions. I spent three days marking it up, and now I get to tell you all about it! Take a minute, and check out the new iKarma, and let me know what you think!

I am SO much happier with this version. I like simple, and that is what the new design is for me. Clear and simple. As time permits there will be some re-alignment to the inner areas to coincide with the new elements, but for now I am content with the work I produced 🙂

I am so glad that you asked, and this is actually the first time, online, that someone has asked me to detail the benefits of iKarma – very cool.
To get right to it, any and everyone can benefit from iKarma.
iKarma is a tool. A unique tool for any person to capture comments from another person about themselves, and have the ability to keep those testimonials documented by someone other than yourself. This adds credibility, and that is powerful no matter the age, or professional title.
You, as a college student, could use iKarma to build your reputation over the next few years of college to establish a “name” for yourself from your peers and educators.
Everyday you go to classes and interact with students and teachers, and many of those people, you will build relationships with. You will get to know them, and they will get to know you and over time you build a level of trust. Relationships like these are powerful.
These are the people that you trust to critique your homework and you genuinely value and respect their opinion. They are the same people that come to you because you are the expert in math, and ace all the tests… You are the person that helps them to understand how complex equations break down. You are the “go to guy”, and they tell all their friends that you are…
You are also the student that the teacher raves about to his wife all the time “because you just get it”. He and the other teachers speak of you all the time because, you are dedicated, driven and on a true path of success.
Now take all that, and document it… Online… For everyone to see.
You will graduate, and go into the job market, along with several other members of your class that have the same major as you. So what makes YOU stand out – why are YOU the one to hire? What do you have to put you ahead of other professionals?
Your reputation.
Your peers can go to iKarma and using your email address post a “kudos (review)” about you, simply saying something honest about you, and your relationship with them. Each person that posts that you are an amazing go-to person for math questions is another person saying “hey, this guy knows what he is doing”, and lots of those over time are priceless.
That teacher can go to iKarma, then just as a teacher does in a “report card”, he can detail your performance and voice his praises of who you are. Pretty powerful for that graduating student to have his teacher praising his talents in a format that so sharable.
Those relationships have a power that no money can buy, ever. Doing a good job, being a knowledgeable resource, or just being a great friend is something that has a sticky value and highly sellable no matter who you are, or what you do.
