HOW TO USE HIJACK THIS
HijackThis examines certain key areas of the Registry and Hard Drive and lists their contents. These are areas which are used by both legitimate programmers and hijackers.It's up to you to decide what should be removed. Some items are perfectly fine. You should not remove them. Never remove everything. Doing that could leave you with missing items needed to run legitimate programs and add-ins.
This page will help you work with the me to clean up your system.
- Please make sure that you unzip the file to anywhere OTHER then: Your Desktop, Temp folder, or Temporary Internet Files. If you put it here,and make a mistake you CANNOT repair it!
- After you have unzipped the program, just open, click scan and then copy and email your log with the subject "ZC HJT LOG SERVICE" or you can email it to me at lori[at]zenfulcreations.com. Please be patient as I asess your logs - sometimes it takes longer thenother times, but I will read them.
Once I have gone through your log, I will instruct you on what you need to delete.
- When you get your response from me, run HijackThis again with ALLbrowser windows closed.
- Put checkmarks in the items that I have instructed, and click FIX.
- Then, rerun HijackThis again, and email a fresh log so that I canmake sure everything is gone.
If you get the green light, you will then be all clear of any yuckies you may have had.
